MEEA Home Up One Level

The Santa Clara Valley Water District has responsibilities for the water supply and flood control needs of the 1.7 million citizens of Santa Clara County.

The district manages three water treatment plants; three pumping stations, a hydroelectric plant, 18 percolation facilities, hundreds of miles of improved rivers, creeks and other waterways for flood protection, and an extensive in-county water distribution system connecting sources of imported water, local reservoirs and water treatment facilities.

The district has an extensive public outreach program which includes education. The home page for the district is http://www.valleywater.org
