MEEA meetings are held at various locations on the 4th Thursday of every month from 9:30 till Noon.

Thursday August 25th

WHAT: MEEA Training ~ Exploration of Interpretive Techniques, Issues, and Challenges  

DATE:  Thursday August 25, 2005 

INSTRUCTOR: Diane West-Bourke, Naturalist/Educator 

TIME: 9:45am Arrival at preserve; Hike/Training from 10:00am - 1:00pm WHERE: Long Ridge Open Space Preserve

 

DETAILS: A teaching hike of about 3 to 3.5 miles, with dialogue and demonstration. Please bring a snack and water to drink. Note: restrooms are not available at this preserve. 

HOW TO GET THERE:
Meet at the Long Ridge OSP Grizzly Flat trailhead parking area, located on the west side of Skyline Boulevard 3.6 miles north of Highway 9, or 3.3 miles south of Page Mill Road.  If you are coming from the north on Skyline Blvd., the parking area pullout is just past Portola Heights Road on the right.  Carpooling recommended – please facilitate on your own.

Thursday September 22nd with Marianne at Half Moon Bay State Beach: program to include an observation of the live-stream video of the murre colony, which can be observed at the Montero (sp.?) youth hostel.
 

Thursday October 27th with the Environmental Volunteers at Acterra: "Share a strategy".
Please bring along an activity or strategy to share with the rest of the group.
 

No meeting in November
 

Thursday December 8th with Ginny and Mary at the Rengstorf House in Mountain View: Holiday Party.
An opportunity for backward reflection and/or forward resolution or just good food with good friends in a wonderful seasonal setting. Fallback location is Hidden Villa.
